WEG Principal Economic Advisor Quoted in South Florida Sun-Sentinel Op-Ed on Amendment 4 Proposal

In an Op-Ed by Dan Lindblade, President of the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, focused on Amendment 4 and the implications to Florida and business growing in and coming to Florida. Mr. Linblade highlighted the recent study by The Washington Economics Group (WEG), which found that if passed by voters, Amendment 4 would have significant, negative long-term effects in Florida and according to WEG Principal Economic Advisor, Tony Villamil, Amendment 4 would “have potentially devastating consequences to Florida’s economy at a time when the economic situation at both the state and national levels is uncertain and at a time when attracting new business to Florida is essential for the future recovery of the state and its residents.”
