The New York Times interviews Tony Villamil
August 31, 2006 - New York Times writer, Joseph Treaster, tracked the impact of Tropical Storm Ernesto as it traveled up the East Coast. South Floridians prepared for the worst but were surprised as Ernesto had little weather impact on South Florida. Although South Florida missed the bad weather, the local economy was affected as businesses closed for the storm. "It was a very small blip in a state with an annual economy of $634 billion," said CEO Tony Villamil.
